Enhancing the Check-In Experience for NYX hotels

Overview

NYX hotels, the top spec Leonardo hotel brand needed a check-in kiosk that reflected the hotels position in the market. No downmarket tablet or black POS kiosk for them. We reflected on what we had provided for TSH (The Social Hub) in Berlin, Bologna and Vienna and customised the TSH Lieff kiosk for a smaller footprint. The result is now the Lieff-Hotel kiosk and fits the NYX style and branding perfectly. It looks great (our opinion), integrates all the technology needed and the inset style footprint is just - neat


Key Objectives

The primary objectives for NYX in engaging K4B to provide check-in kiosks were:

  • To create an engaging check-in experience for the guests with a visually appealing and compelling kiosk design.
  • To enable check-in and out processes along with room key programming facility and payment all in the same small footprint integrated kiosk.
  • To ensure that the finished kiosk result looks like it is tailor made for NYX
  • To provide kiosk deployment and facilitation expertise to create a fast track to most guests using the self service naturally with a strong level of interest to do so.

Lieff Solution

The result of our commitment to hotel kiosks over a number of years is the Lieff design as first built into the TSH hotels across Europe. The Lieff is an embedded automatic check-in kiosk that merges sleek, minimalist design with an ambiance-enhancing aesthetic. Its sharp but refined lines combined with top edge technology underscore our unwavering commitment to excellence. The design has been customised further for NYX to achieve an even samller footprint. The original had facility for an embedded passport scanner, not required for NYX.

Customised Design: User-friendly; it's designed for a smooth UX check-in process built in.

Multi-Functional: Lieff combines all that we know is relevant in hotel auto check-in and stands ready to handle card encoding, passport scanning, check-ins, check-outs, and offers comprehensive POS capabilities.  NYX wanted a holistic approach to check-in self service and the Lieff-Hotel delivers just that.

Furniture Embedded: Lieff-Hotel’s design is seamlessly integrated into the furniture and surroundings at NYX, ensuring a harmonious and friendly feel to the whole process for arriving guests.


Results

Lieff, much like its predecessors in TSH, revolutionizes the check-in process and the whole feel of it.  fIt defines a flawless fusion of style and efficiency for NYX hotels in Dublin. It has emerged as the central focal point within their lobby establishments, giving a perfect balance of hotel check-in purpose along with technology, style, and overall operational efficiency.  Very difficult to achieve this, and with no queues, when just relying on a reception desk with staff to effect check-in

Lieff-Hotel goes the extra mile for NYX hotel guests in Dublin. We created it to make their check-in experience top-notch, blending cool tech with a sleek look.
